Oh! And I forgot to mention...

...last night Jeff watched the video of the ultrasound I had on Thursday while we were waiting for the cheesecake to be cut. And because I needed to label it, he FINALLY agreed to finalize the middle name! So, here's the official name: this little girl will be Margaret Nancy (to be called "Maggie", or maybe even "Maggie Nan" by me. :) ) This is the longest we've ever taken to decide on a finalized name! So I'm quite glad it's done.

that's a pretty name. How exciting that she is almost here.

I keep forgetting to tell you that I grew up in Lancaster. You may know where that is. I am curious where in LA you are, although I understand you not wanting to post it. I miss living there sometimes. THere is lots too do and the beach is close and lovely :)

I have been to Lancaster occasionally. It's a bit of a drive from here. :) I'm up in the foothills north of Pasadena.

That's a pretty name! My niece is Nancy and I love it.

Have you read Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome? It's a book written in the 1920's, set in the Lake District of England, about six children on a sailing and camping holiday. One of the girls in the story is Nancy, and she's great!

That sounds like a great story! We have particular reasons for both the first and middle names, which I'll probably share when I post about her blessing or maybe after her birth. :)

What a sweetly old-fashioned name! I thought y'all had decided on Faith for a middle name before you even got pregnant or am I just imagining that?

I'm just like you - I have to have the name finalized. We're not even pregnant yet, but I'm agonizing that we don't have a girl middle name picked out.

We had chosen Faith-- but as I got further along it just didn't "feel right." It didn't feel like that was her name, you know? We knew she was Maggie-- but Faith was something we had chosen, because we liked it and it seemed to fit, but when I got to know her, she chose her own name (really! Almost literally!)
